Quique Cruz has been composing and arranging with Quijeremá, music for various films. He received the prestigious Oshita Composer Fellowship from the Djerassi Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts fellowshiop to compose the soundtrack for the Award Winig Film “Villa Grimaldi: Archeology of Memory”. The music arranged and performed by Quijeremá. He also composed the music for the documentary film ¡Pablo Neruda!¡Presente! he scor is entitled “Tinta Verde / Green Ink”. He is presently the composer for the documentary feature The Road to Chulumani by award winning documentary filmmaker Rick Tejada Flores. He is also the composer for the fiction feature film Soledad’s Awakening, directed by Bay Area filmmaker Mabel Valdivieso.
Quique Cruz has collaborated with noted film Emmy Winner composer Mark Adler on the documentary film The Fall of Fujimori (2005 Sundance) and on the documentary film Chicano Park, directed by Oscar Nominee Marilyn Mulford. He has also been hired as a musical consultant for theater and has recorded music for TV—America's Cup (CBS) under the musical direction of Mickey Hart and films—Vibes (Columbia Pictures) under the musical direction of James Horner.
