Villa Grimaldi: Archeology of Memory in Three Cantos (spring 2006)
Our upcoming project is a musical suite in three movements: Dreams; Darkness and the Body, and After the Fire, Water. The musical suite is a reflection about aesthetics and terror, and comes out of a triptych (a documentary film, a book, and an exhibit) that deals with the experiences of Chilean artists who were repressed during the years of the dictatorial regime of Pinochet.

Tamborsaya: Ronroco Experimental (upcoming)
Our first promotional CD had four tunes written for the ronroco. The ronroco is the baritone of the charango; it hasten strings and is originally from Bolivia. We decided to turn this promo into a complete CD. For this experimental project, the ronroco is used with different open tunings. At the same time, Quijeremá has changed the strings of the nstrument combining charango, Puerto Rican cuatro, and Celtic harp strings. The tunes are based on Afro American percussion ranging from the candombe of Uruguay, to the Venezuelan parranda, and ending with the New Orleans blues.
