Music for Films

Quique Cruz has been composing and arranging with Quijeremá, music for various films. The latest work “Tinta Verde / Green Ink” is the soundtrack for the documentary film ¡Pablo Neruda!¡Presente!. He received the prestigious Oshita Composer Fellowship from the Djerassi Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts fellowshio to compose the soundtrack “Villa Grimaldi: Archeology of Memory in Three Cantos,” which has been arranged and performed by Quijeremá for the documentary film, “After the Fire, Water” by Marilyn Mulford.

The group will be working for the new Chilean feature film “Pisagua” by noted Chilean filmmaker Cristian Galaz.

Quique Cruz has composed and performed for a number of feature films and documentaries. He has worked with noted film Emmy Winner composer Mark Adler on the documentary film The Fall of Fujimori (2005 Sundance) and on the documentary film Chicano Park, directed by Oscar Nominee Marilyn Mulford. He has also been hired as a musical consultant for theater and has recorded music for TV—America's Cup (CBS) under the musical direction of Mickey Hart and films—Vibes (Columbia Pictures) under the musical direction of James Horner.
