Quijeremá's passion for the music makes the group an effective, in-demand presenter for educational organizations. Its members are articulate educators with years of experien ce in all levels of the educational system. They can perform along with other musicians and can include a combination of lectures and demonstration using an amazing collection of instruments as well as rare recordings, slides, handouts and videos.
Quijeremá is adept at conducting seminars, clinics, residencies and hands-on workshops in Afro-Latin and contemporary South American music focusing on polyrhythms, song styles and musical social relevan ce, and on the art, technique, demands and disciplines of dozens of percussive, string and wind instruments.

Quijeremá's members and the ensemble itself have been featured presenters at such colleges as UC Berkeley, Stanford, Mills College and Oberlin, and are grant recipients from the National Endowment of the Arts, the Djerassi Foundation and the San Francisco Symphony.
Youth programs invite the audience to participate with stories, call-and-response, and hands-on activities. Quijeremá's vitality and commitment to audience participation make all of their presentations vibrant and lively.
